My first time sprint racing with NASA. Lots of close up intense driving. I completed competition school and my required provisional races. Car ran very well but was not as competitive as it could be due it being setup for Champ Car.

Circuit of the Americas is an amazing track and we couldn’t pass up this opportunity race here. Since the Miata was not up to the task we entered with a Porsche Boxster prepared by Kreuger Tuned Racing.

A fantastic ending to this race! Tried super hard to keep up with my competitors and fought for 2nd in class. Several times at the end of the race I made a good pass only to lose it down the straight. I think its time for the old 1.6L Miata to get an upgrade, lol.

What a crazy day and a very tough race! From dodging flying wheels on track to a first first place win. Due in part to everyone being consistent we had no down time and managed to log a lot of laps. We played the role of tortoise in this endurance race and out ran the top running competitors in A Class. We weren’t too slow tho, 75 laps into the race we held 4th in class and over the next 129 laps we worked our way into 1st in class. From there the team in 2nd place had a driver swap and we gained a few laps on them. However their final driver was quicker tried hard to catch up but we held onto our lead.

Overall another great race day. Unfortunately our alternator died an hour before the end of the race. We ran on battery as long as we could but eventually we had to pit 30 minutes before the checkered.

We put these tires to really good use!

With the addition of a big rear wing and front splitter we had a great day of racing. We ended the race very close to top 10.

Also added a data logging system and we hope to learn something from it to make tomorrows race even faster.
